An Instagram bio link is a public website address saved on your Instagram profile.

Which page should my Instagram link open?
Build your NciteMe Smart Bio (or choose the page you want followers to land on). Copy the public URL from your dashboard share card.
How do I add the URL to Instagram?
Open your Instagram profile → Edit profile → Website (or Links, depending on account type) → paste your Smart Bio URL → save.
Instagram’s labels change over time; look for the field that accepts a website URL on your profile edit screen.
Do I need to change the bio link for every post?
Leave the Instagram field alone. When you launch a new offer, update blocks on your Smart Bio instead of swapping the Instagram URL every week.
Which URL should I copy?
Copy the public destination, not the address of an editor or dashboard. A public page can be opened by someone who has never signed in. An editor address may ask that person to log in or may show an error. For example, a photographer can share a profile containing a portfolio, session information and an inquiry form instead of sending visitors directly to an editing screen.
Open the copied address in a private browser window before adding it to Instagram. Check that the intended page loads and that its name matches your account. If you have several NciteMe profiles or personas, open the one for this audience before copying its public link. A personal introduction and a business menu can have different destinations even when you manage both.
What should the first version of my page contain?
Include the information a visitor needs to take the next step. For a photographer, that might be a small portfolio, an explanation of the sessions offered and an inquiry button. For a food truck, it might be the menu, service location and hours. You do not need every available block to publish a useful page.
Match your main button to the promise in your post. If the caption says to view the menu, the menu should be easy to find after the tap. If it invites people to ask about a session, make the inquiry form obvious. Remove test descriptions and placeholder links before sharing. A page that looks finished but leads to an empty booking calendar creates a dead end.
How do I check that the saved link works?
Test the saved link from the public Instagram profile, not just from the field where you entered it. Tap it, wait for the destination to finish loading and try the main action. Check the experience on a phone because a desktop browser can hide problems with long labels, oversized images or buttons that are hard to tap.
If you use a form, submit a clearly labeled test inquiry and check that it arrives in the expected account. Avoid putting private customer details in a test. If the page links to an external booking service or store, open that destination too. The profile page can be available while an individual outbound link is broken or points at an old offer.
Why does my link open the wrong page?
Compare the address you saved with the current public address of the intended page. Look for a misspelled username, an old persona path or a copied link from a different account. A working homepage is not proof that you linked the right profile. Verify the page title and visible business details as well as the address.
If you use a managed short link, inspect its configured destination. The short address may be correct while its destination still points at a previous campaign. If you recently renamed a profile, test the old shared address before assuming it redirects. Keep a record of important printed and social links so a later rename does not strand visitors.
Should I use a direct profile link or a tracked link?
Use the direct public link when your main goal is a simple route to your page. Use a separately managed link when you want to compare a specific placement, such as the Instagram bio versus an email signature. Name those placements clearly in your account so the report remains understandable after the campaign ends.
A click count records activity through the tracked route; it does not by itself prove that a person booked or bought anything. Compare the available click information with inquiries or completed actions in the system that stores them. Do not change several destinations and labels at once if you want to learn which change helped. Keep the original route available while testing a replacement.
What should I update when I post a new offer?
Update the content behind the shared address when the destination is still appropriate. Put the current offer near the top, give it a clear label and remove outdated details. For example, replace a finished seasonal session announcement with the next available session information while keeping the portfolio and contact details useful.
Change the saved bio URL only when you intentionally want a different destination. Before doing so, check older posts whose instructions still refer to the bio. Their readers may arrive expecting the previous item. An archive link or a short explanation can help them find it. Review the page after major announcements and whenever hours, prices or contact details change.
